Universal Studios Islands of Adventure!!

Drove to Orlando last weekend to take over Universal Studios Islands of Adventure theme park, and it was lots and lots of fun for sure. We rented a car to drive up there because I think my CV joints are going bad, but hey, we got a convertible with a nice sound system so we were able to rock it all the way up to Orlando and all the way back! A friend of Clyde's works at the park and so we got 1-day 2-park tickets for about 60% off as well as tickets that allows us to use the "express line" in which we waited at the most 10 minutes to get on a ride.

After spending 4 hours there we walked over to the original Universal Studios where we walked around more than anything, went on a few rides, and finished off the night with some ice cream. We drove home that night to save money on a hotel room. We'd stayed in Orlando the night before going to the parks and that was enough. The drive home is about 3 1/2 hours but we had lots of music and good company for the ride home. Overall, we both had a great time - take a look for yourselves!!

Outside of Islands of Adventure - Clyde gives the hard-rock sign of the devil horns to help express our eagerness to tear the park apart!!

Mr. Clyde's hair after our first ride on a rollercoaster called "The Hulk." It was really fun. At the top I first screamed and as we shot downward we both just started laughing the entire time. Lots of fun - it's been a while but goodness, amusement parks are still really fun!

Checked out the Spiderman ride before heading into Cartoon Town. It was dated perhaps but still really realllly crazy 3-D graphics. You just go through this mock city in a cart wearing 3-D glasses and things really come at you and at one point you feel like you're flying up into the air but the walls are just moving around you. Cartoon villians throw fire balls at you and you feel heat as it looks like it's about to hit you. It's really cool.

Well, that's obvious. Ha! Nobody'd have to read my thoughts to figure that out, yeesh!

Daawwwwwww......

Me looking mischievious at the Hush-a-Bomb. When you pressed it down it made explosion sounds, and on one of the presses it'd fart and putter and then finally explode, it was really funny. The kids seemed to love it........

On our way into Jurassic Park we saw - wait, WHAT? ...Plenty of giggling ensued...

(sigh) ... I'm gonna miss Clyde....

The Land of Dr. Seuss!! Oh crap, is it Seuss or Suess? Hmmm... Anyway, I longed to see the crazy seuss trees of Mexico, and none like them found, but it was fun anyway!

Seuss Creature!!

Gotta be playful in Seuss Land!!! I'm asking the question, and my seat is giving me the answer, I guess. Why? Because!!

They look more confused than anything!! Clyde had to convince me to do this picture...but I did it!! I should have gotten him to do it too...hmm....next time!

My last trick before leaving Seuss Land - can you find me???

Spying my possible death on the way back to one last ride on "The Hulk" before heading out of this park.

We jotted over to Universal Studios for the last two hours that the parks were open. That was enough time after walking all day, and we went on The Mummy ride whic was really really cool. At one point they set the ceiling above us on fire and it was that scary bubbling flame thing, and it was really cool. Jaws was closed unfortunately, and it looked like King Kong isn't there anymore. That's too bad! I couldn't redeem myself for hiding under the seats during those rides when I was a wee lass!

And the last picture of the evening - a long but very very fun day!
